What is Tufting
Tufted art, whether they are rugs, wall hangings, or other textiles, go through a three-step process: tufting, gluing, and shaving. The tufting process involves sending yarn through the primary backing, leaving the loops uncut in loop-pile rugs and snipped in cut-pile rugs.
Rug Tufting Workshops
Want to make your OWN rug? We offer workshops in Ocala, several days/evenings per week, offering a wide array of predetermined artwork. However, if you would like to use your own artwork or picture, just submit it to us ahead of time.
What to Expect
The process is simple:
- Go to our website and register for one of our workshops.
- Select your picture and 3 hour session and complete payment information.
- When you come in, your workstation will be set up with your art already drawn on the canvas and colors selected, ready to go.
- An instructor will walk through how to begin and will be available throughout for immediate assistance.
- Once you are done, we will arrange for a future time for you to come back to pick up your masterpiece or have it shipped to you.
Limited Spots
We keep our class sizes small (12 people) to be able to give the 1:1 attention that will be needed to get you started on your creation.
